Homemade Bread Stuffing

No Thanksgiving table is complete without stuffing! We've adapted our Mabel's in-store recipe so you can give it a go at home. This year, we're also offering our pre-cubed bread to cut down on prep time and make this stuffing recipe even easier to put together.

Homemade Bread Stuffing

3 tbsp salted butter
1 onion, diced
2 ribs celery, diced
2 carrots, diced
1-1/2 cups chicken stock 
5 cups cubed bread
1/4 cup chopped fresh parlsey
3 tbsp chopped fresh sage
1 tbsp chopped fresh thyme 
1/4 tsp each kosher salt and pepper

In a large nonstick pan over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in onion, celery, carrots, salt and pepper, cook, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in stock; simmer until vegetable have softened, about 5 minutes. Transfer to a large bowl and stir in bread, parsley, sage, thyme, salt and pepper. The bread should be soaked in liquid.

Transfer stuffing to a 9-13-inch oven-safe dish, lightly packing it with the back a spoon. Bake in 350°F oven until top is golden, about 30 minutes.
