When you open Best Baa yogurt, you will see a thin layer of cream. Underneath is a rich, luxuriously thick Ontario yogurt. The thickness isn’t due to additives (like many yogurts) – it’s solely due to the high nutrient content of sheep milk. It contains as much as 50% more protein solids, double the calcium and magnesium while being gentler to your stomach than it’s cow milk counterpart.
The happy sheep that reside at Best Baa Dairy Farm graze freely throughout the summer and are fed a diet of haylage throughout the cold winter months, very small amounts of organic grains are included in their winter diet.

Ontario based, Best Baa Dairy aims to craft high quality sheep milk cheeses, yogurt and ice cream products at a fair price. They use minimal ingredients allowing natural flavours and textures to unfold and delight the pallattes of discerning consumers, while utilizing sustainable farming and high animal welfare practices. Best Baa Dairy Farm is quite small, and all of the work is either done by hand or with the aid of horses.
The sheep milk producers on the farm are Amish farmers who practice sustainable agriculture, they also stress on the importance of animal welfare on the farm. Best Baa truly believes that everyone involved in the production of good food should benefit from the entire process, and they always aim to pay their staff as much as they possibly can. The team is extremely enthusiastic about being able to engage and connect a great group of producers who are so passionate about what they do.
