Making something out of nothing...I'm a wizard and Harry Potter's got nothing on me
Hellooooo Internet Its been a bumpy road but here I am growing things. I'm farming a lovely little plot at College and Ossington, a 400 sq ft of south facing, full sun, bit of paradise. Its been a couple weeks since I planted my beautiful little seedlings and they seem to be happy in their new loamy homey (just a little soil humour for you). We have squash, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, beats, carrots, celery, romaine, and eggplant. Even after years of working with plants of all kinds, I am still in awe that when you plant things and give them water they will grow. I'm thoroughly surprised every time. So far I'm happy with the way things are coming along, the tomatoes will soon need some support and the romaine will so be ready for harvesting (I'm still crossing my fingers that no hungry critters will stumble upon the salad bar I've created right at their level). Here are some photos of how far we've come since I planted. yours truly, Rachael [caption id="attachment_1311" align="aligncenter" width="224" caption="Before there was a farm, there was a weed patch"] [/caption]
