On Sunday, June 26 th , the remaining 6 lbs of mixed salads were picked, washed, and prepared for Monday’s Sorauren Farmers’ Market. A few salad heads were left to go to seed. Note in the picture the emerging beet, arugula, and mustard seedlings. 6 bags, each carrying 1 lbs of mixed salads, were washed, packaged, and transported to the Sorauren market by means of bicycle. It took one hour to transport the salad from Islington and Dixon to the market. Erin, Damian, and myself at the market selling produce from member farmers’ land and the Downsview farm.
