We believe in the transformative power of city farming to change how the world eats.

The Process

We endeavour to farm organically in the true sense of the term: no monocultures, companion planting, fostering pollinator habitats, reducing water use, using heritage seeds, composting, extending the seasons, experimenting with different farming techniques (e.g. till versus no-till).

At our home base at Downsview Park and Member Farmer plots, we use certified organic seeds, potting mixes, compost, fertilizers and sustainable methods of cultivation.

We control quality and consistency by following an integrated farming plan and ensuring that all Member Farmers are trained in cutting edge organic farming technologies and supported by shared resources on our home base.
